Cosmetic tattooing is the process of implanting colored pigment into the dermis layer of the skin by means of tiny, sterile, disposable needles to produce the appearance of  hair strokes, makeup, or to enhance the natural features of the face.

A topical anaesthetic cream and gel are used for numbing during your procedure.

Pain thresholds vary from each individual person and every effort is made to ensure you remain comfortable for the entire procedure, however small amounts of discomfort is to be expected.

We assess your natural hair growth/colour, eye colour, skin type, skin health, daily routines and personal preference when determining which technique will be best for you. Even though you might have something in mind, it might not be the best option and we promise to always give you our honest, professional opinion to ensure you leave with the best possible results.

Cosmetic Tattooing is considered a permanent procedure as you will not be able to wash your result off. However your body will naturally metabolise the pigment slowly over the years. It generally lasts from 1-3 years, it can last even longer. Traces of pigment will always be present.

As cosmetic tattoos age the pigments may alter over time. The pigments which were initially implanted into your dermis break down at different speeds and this is because the larger molecules are harder for your body to metabolise. If your body is holding onto the larger molecules it is common to be left with hues of colours which in turn may require neutralisation.

Neutralization is the process of implanting either an orange, green or yellow pigment to bring the color back to its original state.

It is important that you refrain from using any skin/blood thinners (Vitamin A, Glycolic acids) on the brow area two weeks prior to your appointment.

Do not consume any alcohol, fish oil, caffeine or take any blood thinners (Aspirin, Ibuprofen, Niacin) 48 hours before your procedure, this may cause excess bleeding and may affect your results.

We will not be able to tattoo over any blemishes, sores or moles in or around the brow area.

Cosmetic botox and fillers should be done 4 weeks prior or 2 weeks after your appointment. You will not be able to receive a tattoo service if you are pregnant or planning on pregnancy. You will not be able to receive a tattoo service you if you are prone to keloid scarring.

Your semi-permanent makeup will appear darker and more intense than expected for the first few days. This will gradually lighten during the complete healing process.

Redness and swelling is completely normal, but minimal.

The eyebrow and surrounding area should be kept dry for 7-10 days. This includes no swimming, saunas, steam, sweat or products on or around the area.

Please do not use any oils or moisturizers, exfoliants across the forehead or eyelids.

When showering please take extra care to ensure they are kept as dry as possible as this will help the pigment settle into the skin for longer lasting results.

Do not scrub, wash, pick, wiggle/move, or itch your new brows.

A Sunscreen of SPF-50 should be applied daily after healing and is required to help keep colour true. Sun exposure will make the colour soften faster.

Fading speed depends on your skin type, lifestyle, sun exposure, pigment colour used, broken capillaries, and if any chemical peels were done after your procedure.

If you are planning a chemical peel, laser treatment or other medical procedure, please inform the technician that you have had a cosmetic tattoo. They MUST avoid the tattooed areas.
